Throwback Thursday – A Melody for James

Hi Friend!

I celebrated 10 years since my first book published last March, and in two weeks, my 49th book will launch! That’s a lot of writing in 10 years!

A book that holds a special place in my heart is A Melody for James. This was the first book I ever wrote – and it surprised me! I woke up from a dream and started writing and six weeks later, I had a very rough draft of the book you see here today.

I recently got a fantastic review for it:

I’ve seen Ms. Bridgeman’s books profiled for a number of years, but never took the time to actually read one. Having now read “A Melody for James,” I’m embarrassed to make that admission. I’ve neglected a gifted author who writes with intelligence, sincerity, and faith that has roots planted deep in the Word of God. If you’re seeking easy answers to difficult questions, surface-level characters, or just enough spirituality to evade mainstream culture, this is neither the book nor the author for you. I prefer authentic, honest, painful, speak-the-truth-in-love writing. If that’s more your preference, Ms. Bridgeman has crafted a novel that delivers.

What an encouraging review!
