Sending you prayers, love and hugs Hallee. I know I can’t understand, completely, how your family feels in this dark time, but Ken and I want to be there for you guys ❤️. This summary is very touching I can feel your sadness, your sympathy and your love for God.

  1. Thank you for sharing this tragic story of the accident that took your son from you. I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing Jeb but I look forward to seeing his smiling face when I go to be with our Heavenly Father. There is nothing I can say to comfort or console, but I do know that God is taking care of Jeb and He will continue to hold you close and show you the special love of a Father for one who is grieving. God bless you and your family as you continue on this journey. May you never feel alone.

I’m so sorry for what your family has walked through. I cannot imagine the loss and the fact that you even had to navigate rumors in the midst of it. Continuing to pray peace over you guys and that young driver. So much love to your family.

  2. Add my love, hugs, & prayers to the many others. Praying you feel the arms of Jesus holding you tight.

  3. Thank you for sharing this story, Hallee. It had to be hard to write.

I know what you mean about feeling that you could begin to move forward once the investigation closed, but ended up feeling the same lack and darkness of this present world without your boy. We had the mile marker of making it through the long, dark, cold northern winter to feel the breath and light of summer as our marker, but then suddenly we were hit with all the memories of other summers and the wrongness of our Quinn not being here working on the farm. His handprint is on everything here.

Yes, it’s terribly, terribly wrong. It’s a terribly awful, sin-cursed world kind of wrong. Every single day I look up at the heavens and observe the trees and flowers waving nodding around us and hear the birds’ song, and it’s in that–only Creation’s glory reminding me that there is a God and that He is true and loving and has given us the promise of eternity–that keeps me clinging with hope. Quinn’s stone reads 1 John 2:25 “And this is the promise He has given us: eternal life.”

Hanging on with you in prayer.

  4. May the God of all comfort continually minister to you, your family, and the young driver and his wife. If they don’t know the Lord , may they see Him through you, may they experience His mercy leading to salvation.

  5. Thank you for sharing the details of what happened. I am sure it was difficult, but it had to be done. Prayers for all involved – for you and your family, the driver, and his family and friends, along with all who have been a part of Jeb’s last moments here on earth and beyond. May grace and mercy – a Holy healing from your loss come over time. Numbers 6:24-26

  6. God bless you and your family and friends, mightily bless you, as you wait for that reunion, and keep you strong, yet transparent, as you continue to bless us.

Thank you for being you, Hallee…

I am in Awe of how strong you and your family are. I know it is not comfort but I pray that you finding out how he passed will give you some peace. You will never forget that horrible day but I know that you will have peace later on. Bless you and your family.

Thank you for sharing this hard journey with such a witness to the Lord. Your family’s pain is unimaginable and I have been praying for you all. You and yours are amazing, broken…yes, but amazing. May the Lord truly grant you comfort and support for years to come. May you know without a doubt that many love, pray and think of your family often. We will pray as well for the driver, may he truly find peace and comfort in God. Shalom.

Hallee (and family), I continue to pray for all of you. Your words to all of us during your own grief are amazingly encouraging. You continue to minister to all of us through your mammoth-sized faith. Love to you all. May Hod continue to comfort all of you in exactly the way each of you need comfort. He knows. I pray you feel it.

I have prayed for the young driver of the truck, as he does have to deal with this for the rest of his life, tragic accident that it was. I’m so very happy, though, that he’s such a kind, caring individual who also risked his life that night to stand over Jeb and protect him. I’m continuing to pray for your family, and will continue to pray for this young man and his friend, too. A fun night that turned tragic for all concerned. Accidents happen all the time, and God was not surprised by this one. He can (and has) used this to bring glory and honor to Himself, and in some ways, we’ve all seen how, and in others, not yet. Someday, I’ll get to meet this inspiring young man!

Hallee, my mother was on Compassionate Friends for years after my sister died. It’s a group for bereaved parents. While it’s not for everyone, it may help you just by being able to share your grief with someone who understands what you’re going through.
Please know whenever I see your name, or Jebs, a prayer is offered on you and your family. Thank you for sharing such a very personal and intimate part of your life. By doing so, it grows the compassion within us.

Tried to sign up but it kept telling me there was an error. So sorry you are going through this. Just keep leaning on God and family.
