In April, I sent this email: The Status of Love Makes Way
I had every intention of finishing this book and sending it out to all of you amazing readers on June 6th.
However, on April 29th, our 14-year-old son was killed. You can read about it here: A Time of Lamentation
Here are a couple of things about the status of Love Makes Way:
- It’s written. But, it’s only the first draft.
- My first draft is not consumable. It’s been so long since I wrote it, I’ll even have a hard time figuring out what I meant when I wrote some parts (ha!)
- The first draft just takes me a couple of weeks to write. It takes me twice as long to get it ready for editor #1.
So, while it’s completely written, it’s not completely ready to sell. And, quite frankly, I don’t know when that will happen. I have absolutely NO creative juices in me right now. In fact, just this email has been sitting half-written for about a week because I just haven’t had it in me to finish it.
If you’ve preordered the book from a retailer, you would have already had that preorder canceled.
If you preordered it from me, I want you to know that I have every intention of finishing the book and releasing it. I just can’t make anymore “set in stone” release dates.
This is a fun book – I’ve had it in my head for years. I went on a cruise in 2019 to do research for this book and the entire time I was writing the Love and Honor series, I couldn’t wait to get to this book.
