Enter to Win $525 in Amazon Gift Cards!! Christmas Scavenger Hunt Round-Robin

Merry Christmas! Welcome to the first blog in this Christmas Round-Robin!

Here’s how it works: At each author’s blog post, you will find a question that can be answered by checking out the free Amazon preview of their book. Provide the answer at this Google Form. Note: You must answer the questions for every author in the round -robin to be considered to win the $300 first place, $150 second place or $75 third place Amazon gift cards. At the end of my post is a link to the next blog, who will provide a link to the next blog, etc., to the very end.

I’m thrilled to get the chance to tell you about my book Christmas Star Sapphire. This book is in the second generation of my fan-favorite series, The Jewel Series, but you can read it without having read the rest of the series.

Joe Westcott is a Cru minister at an Alabama university where Madeline Viscolli is getting her Masters degree. Joe has a personal rule against dating any student, for any reason, but his attraction to Madeline makes him start to reconsider that hard and fast rule. Until he discovers that Madeline is not just a Viscolli, but is one of THE Viscollis.

Long ago, Joe made a decision to serve God well removed from his family’s life of wealth and luxury. Madeline represents everything he left behind.

It was a joy to write this book and delve into these characters. To date, it is one of my favorite books I’ve written. My husband’s cousin is a Cru minister, and it is our pleasure to donate a portion of every sale to Cru ministries. As parents of a college senior, we know how vital campus ministeries are to the students that attend colleges all over the world.

Let’s begin this scavenger hunt! Go to the book on Amazon at this link.

Find the answer to this question:

What is the name of Joe’s boat?

When you have the answer, fill out this form and head on to the next blog!

Thank you so much for visiting! The next author on the tour is Carrie Turansky, who is telling us all about her Christmas book Snowflake Sweethearts. You can find it at this link. Remember that the round-robin will end on December 16th at 11:59 PM EST!

Thank you for this incredible chance!

    • Hallee Posted December 9, 2019 20:02

      I’m excited about it!

  • Joellen Posted December 9, 2019 22:57

This is kind of frustrating. In order to enter you must answer the question correctly, but the name of Joe’s boat is nowhere on the Amazon page. To find the answer, you have to actually purchase the book. If this is the case for all of these questions, it would cost more to enter the contest than the prizes are worth.

    • Trixi Posted December 9, 2019 23:57

Joellen, you can get a sneak peek inside the pages of the book when you click on “Look Inside” on Amazon. You will find the answers in the excerpt 🙂 No need to buy the book, I hope this helps!

    • Hallee Posted December 10, 2019 04:31

If you click the book’s cover on the Amazon page, it will open the “Look Inside” review feature and let you see the first 10% of the book.

This took some time but was a fun way to discover books that need to be read! Thanks for the opportunity!

    • Hallee Posted December 11, 2019 20:22

  • Renate Posted December 10, 2019 23:01

Thank you. A delightful brain using activity to keep this retiree on her toes. Enjoyed discovering new authors and being reacquainted with stories already read. Happy Holidays and thanks for the opportunity to win a substantial Amazon gift card. Happy Holidays.

    • Hallee Posted December 11, 2019 20:23

      Happy holidays to you, too!

  • Kelsey Gilbert Posted December 11, 2019 10:57

Do you know if you get a confirmation email when you fill out the scavenger hunt form? My computer went all funny on me, so I’m not sure it went through … but I also don’t want to be disqualified for entering twice… ?

    • Hallee Posted December 11, 2019 11:04

You won’t get a confirmation, but I do see your entry. It’s all there.

      • Kelsey Gilbert Posted December 11, 2019 11:29

        Thank you!!!

  • Jana ODell Posted December 11, 2019 13:13

Thanks for this opportunity. Did it yesterday. Took quite a while but got it done 🙂

    • Hallee Posted December 11, 2019 20:23

I’m happy you got it done!

  • Ginny Fikes Posted December 11, 2019 20:07

This was SO much fun, and I discovered new authors, too. Looking forward to reading their stories. It took less time than I expected to find all the answers. Thanks for this opportunity!

    • Hallee Posted December 11, 2019 20:21

Wonderful! I’m so glad you had fun!

  • Ginny Fikes Posted December 12, 2019 09:58

Echoing Kelsey’s concern above, I’m wondering if my submission was accepted. After pressing the submit tab, there was an option to submit another answer, and I pressed it, mistakenly thinking that was where to leave a comment. I’d like to resubmit my answers if they didn’t go through. Again, it was a delightful exercise in discovering new authors.

    • Hallee Posted December 12, 2019 22:46

I see your entry and everything went through!

  • Barbara Hamby Posted December 12, 2019 19:11

can you check and see if mine went thru?? i saw the above post but wanted to make sure it went thru before i shut the page down.

    • Hallee Posted December 12, 2019 22:46

I do not see an entry under your name or your email.

      • Barbara Hamby Posted December 13, 2019 03:47

ok what do i do…….i have the page still up but when i go down to the submit button it will not let me click on it

        • Hallee Posted December 13, 2019 08:05

Every answer is mandatory – including name and email. If you have the form filled out entirely and didn’t miss anything, I’d suggest copying everything down, then refreshing and inputting it again or trying a different browser. Make sure you pull all of the questions, first, so you don’t lose your hard work!

          • Barbara Hamby Posted December 13, 2019 11:06

i will do it when i get back this afternoon……good thing i wrote it all down….

            • Barbara Hamby Posted December 13, 2019 19:19

Ok this time it said my response has been recorded….Thanks for letting me know that you had not gotten it the first time.
