The Trilogy is Complete!

Thursday night, I finished Topaz Heat. I read through it, made minor changes here and there, laughed and cried with the book (strangely, since I wrote it) then I sent it off to my beta readers. It’s out of my hands now (for the time being).

In my opinion, it’s the best book I’ve written. Hopefully, that will always be my opinion of my most recent book.

My First Book Signing

I had my first book signing on Saturday at Bethany Book Room for the paperback release of Sapphire Ice. It was so much fun. I was incredibly apprehensive leading up to it, but I am not a “small talk” kind of person. I’m great in a chat room or an instant message window – but not at networking and socializing. So, going into it was a little bit nerve wracking. Until that morning when I sought strength and found this verse:

I can do all things through Christ[a] who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Six Sentence Sunday: The Morning After

Maxine’s eyes flew open as memories of the night before flooded her mind. She whipped her head around and stared at the empty space in the bed next to her, the pillow indented from where her husband’s head had lain.

Her husband!

Alone in the bedroom, she lifted her left hand and stared. There sat the ridiculously enormous, preposterously expensive platinum ring, encrusted with emeralds and diamonds, that the man with whom she had been engaged for less than two hours before their wedding ceremony had picked out for her. When he slipped it onto her finger, he’d said something about the color of her eyes.

What People Are Saying

[EmeraldFireFront3 (Large)] Those are just a brief sampling of all of the many 5-star reviews Sapphire Ice has received. The reason I’m telling you this, is because THIS is what people are saying about Emerald Fire:

Interview: Never Too Late

Author Donna McDonald interviewed me at her blog, Never Too Late for Romance. I talk about the entire Jewel Series and what writing “edgy romance” really means.

I thoroughly enjoyed doing this interview and have loved interacting with the people who have left comments so far.
