“God is Good (even when it sucks)” ~Jeb
At Jeb’s funeral, his god father told the story of how Jeb pulled him aside when his beloved wife was at the end of her battle with cancer and told him that God was good. His godfather replied, “Jeb, this sucks.” Jeb nodded and put his hand on his godfather’s shoulder and said, “Yes, but God is good even when it sucks.”
Just over a year later, Jeb was killed. No one had a bigger or softer heart for the hurting and the homeless than our son. We wanted to raise money in Jeb’s name for a charity and chose the Christian Appalachian Project. “For over 50 years, Christian Appalachian Project has served the people of Appalachia by building hope, transforming lives, and sharing Christ’s love.”
As a Kentuckian born and bred, we know that Jeb would have loved to become a part of the volunteer force at the Christian Appalachian Project. This is our way of giving him an opportunity to be a part of it.
