Thursday night, I finished Topaz Heat. I read through it, made minor changes here and there, laughed and cried with the book (strangely, since I wrote it) then I sent it off to my beta readers. It’s out of my hands now (for the time being).
In my opinion, it’s the best book I’ve written. Hopefully, that will always be my opinion of my most recent book.
I plan on taking the next week off. At least off as far as writing goes. I can’t really take off as far as marketing goes, but that is much more manageable with my time.
I have laundry I’ve ignored and a garden I haven’t planted. They need to come before the next book.
Next book I say? Oh yes…a country music star, an assistant district attorney, an illegitimate child, a long lost love, and a serial killer.
Title to come later. My “working title” — that is, the name of the directory in my computer — is The Prosecutor. I doubt that will keep.
In the meantime, I have a Cathy’s Creation Bracelet and Emerald Fire to giveaway at my Hallee the Homemaker blog Saturday, Amy Durham’s book to give away Wednesday morning, another wonderful Readers’ Write to Know interview scheduled Wednesday this week, and the John 3:16 Marketing Blog Hop that starts Monday.
I’m so grateful for your visit, today.
