Chapter 1
Only the strict training brought about by her upbringing kept Alexandra Fisher’s mouth from falling open at her father’s suggestion. Well, he called it a suggestion. Alex knew he meant it as an order, no arguments allowed.
So, a few days ago, it occurred to me that I have a March 1st deadline for a suspense novella for a box set. In my mind, as I was wrapping Christmas presents amid moving boxes, I had until “spring”, and since it was just December, I had plenty of time.
Yeah. It’s due, in its completed form, five weeks from tomorrow.
