Today I’m answering he following question:
Why did you choose to self publish versus traditional publish?
That question opens the door to my writing testimony! I hope you learn more about me as a writer through my response:
I’m on Inspy Romance today giving away talking about my favorite romance novel plot-line. I’m also giving away an autographed paperback of Topaz Heat and An Aria for Nick! Come say hi. You can get there at this link.
Looking through all 8 of my published romance novels, I believe that my most romantic is An Aria for Nick. Nick is such a deep character who has suffered so much in life that you just find yourself rooting for Aria and him to be together so that maybe some of his demons will quiet. As a reviewer said, the romance is sigh-worthy. So, to celebrate Romance Awareness Month, I put An Aria for Nick on sale for just $0.99. That’s a $4 savings.
One thing I did this summer was have the Song of Suspense Series covers re-done! I’m SO thrilled with the final product! Victoria at Romance-Covers.com did a phenomenal job!
It’s time to nominate books for the 2013 Grace Awards. I have two books that qualify: A Melody for James and an Aria for Nick.
Every time I finish one of Hallee Bridgeman’s novels, I think she’s reached the peak of storytelling and the next one can’t possibly be as good. And then every time I read the next one, it’s even better than the one before! This story kept me up late reading because I could not bear to stop. The non-stop action and hectic pace leave you breathless but never overshadow the building relationship between Aria and Nick. These characters, both with devastating pasts, never waver in their faith in God, yet still maintain absolute believabilty in their circumstances. They feel pain and loss, struggle with forgiveness and trust, and fall in love while living out a Christian lifestyle in very real ways. I’m already looking forward to the next one!
