Purchased Emerald Fire yesterday afternoon and finished it this morning. I must say I didn’t think she could improve over the first, but I think Emerald Fire was my favorite! I love that it is Christian fiction with characters in real life, messy situations. Fabulous book, couldn’t put it down! Now to wait a whole month for the final book in the trilogy to be released.
The book starts out with the unexpected and continues on, weaving a story of heart ache, poor choices, love and forgiveness. But don’t think this is just a “and they live happily ever after” story. A twist (or two) could change it all…Once again, now in Maxine’s story, Hallee stays true to the fact that life, even the Christian life, isn’t always full of perfection, roses and romance. Instead, meet “real to life” people who struggle just like everyone else.
I really enjoyed this story and how it unfolded. There were definitely some twists and turns that got me… and kept me from putting it down too! I love that Hallee is writing romance novels that have such a strong Christian flavor in them. Christianity is never far away in her books and I’m even recommending her books to my mom and my mother in law!!!
