Hello friends!
It’s time for my annual Christmas Scavenger Hunt. The premise is that readers will seek out clues about our Christmas novels and novellas through the free preview of the novel on Amazon. We’ll create a round-robin and send readers to the next blog with a link inside our blog post (see a prior year’s post at this link). Readers will have to visit every blog, fill out the Google form with the answer about each Christmas book, and everyone with all questions answered properly will be in the drawing to win.
You will receive the email addresses of everyone who entered to add them to your newsletter list if you’d like.
We’re limiting the participation to 25 total authors, so get your application in quickly! The prizes will be: $250 first place, $150 second place or $100 third place Amazon gift cards.
If your book is Christian fiction, about Christmas, and something you want to promote, you qualify to join!
Here’s what you need to do:
1.) Fill out the author google form.
3.) Send Hallee $20 via Paypal to halleethestoryteller@gmail.com. This money will be used for the prizes.
4.) Write a blog post with the clue. Talk up your Christmas book! Give some clue that can be found inside the Amazon preview of your book (they have to be able to get the clue without purchasing it). Don’t publish it yet- schedule it for December 4th at 6AM.
5.) Email hallee@halleebridgeman.com your blog post link. You MUST have this completed by November 30th.
6.) Publish your blog post on December 4th at 6am EST. Make sure you link to the next blog on the list. (Note: you will receive your “round-robin” link by December 2nd, giving you plenty of time to edit your blog post to include the link.)
7.) On December 5th, start talking up the scavenger hunt on social media and in your newsletter. Use the provided graphics (that will be provided when we know the authors, books, and prize.) The hunt will end at 11:59 pm EST on December 11th. I will draw the grand prize winner the morning of the 12th.
Here is what my blog post looked like along with how I asked my question and the suggested wording to put at the end of your blog post:
TITLE: 2022 Christmas Scavenger Hunt Round-Robin: Blizzard in the Bluegrass
Merry Christmas! Welcome to the Christmas Christian Fiction Scavenger Hunt!
Here’s how it works: At each author’s blog post, you will find a question that can be answered by checking out the free Amazon preview of their book. Provide the answer at this form. Note: You must answer the questions for every author in the round -robin to be considered to win the $250 first place, $150 second place or $100 third place Amazon gift cards. These prizes are USD values. If you are not a U.S. resident, you will get a gift card from the Amazon store for your country; however, it will be valued at these USD amounts.)
At the end of my post is a link to the next blog, who will provide a link to the next blog, etc., to the very end, creating a circle (a round-robin) visit through all of the authors’ blogs.
I’m thrilled to get the chance to tell you about my book Blizzard in the Bluegrass. This book is part of the When Snowflakes Never Cease Crossroads Collection and was a joy for me to write.
Jeff is a broken widower who lost his wife and child. Gloria is a single mom to Noah, an eight-year-old boy on the Autism spectrum. The two find each other and everything is perfect until a storm-of-the-century blankets Kentucky under several feet of snow and whiteout conditions on Christmas day, Gloria and Jeff batten down at her father’s house, counting their blessings and basking in the warmth of their love. Until they discover that Noah is missing. Will they find him before he succumbs to the elements, or will this day forever mark a tragedy in their lives?
I loved writing this book, because it allowed my experiences as the mom to a child on the autism spectrum to give readers a glimpse into what that life looks like, and what our mama hearts experience. I gave Gloria my mothering style and Noah my son’s personality. It is a deeply personal book for me.
Let’s begin this scavenger hunt! Go to the book on Amazon at this link. You will be taken to When Snowflakes Never Cease, but Blizzard in the Bluegrass is the first book in this collection, so you will have no problem finding it in the Look Inside.
Find the answer to this question:
Why does Noah hide under the bench in the mall?
When you have the answer, FILL OUT THIS FORM and head on to the next blog!
Thank you so much for visiting! The next author on the tour is Author name, who is telling us all about her Christmas book Title of Book. You can find it at this link. (add link) Remember that the round-robin will end on December 11th at 11:59 PM EST!
