Christian Fiction Christmas Scavenger Hunt

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Hello friends!

It’s time for my annual Christmas Scavenger Hunt. The premise is that readers will seek out clues about our Christmas novels and novellas through the free preview of the novel on Amazon. We’ll create a round-robin and send readers to the next blog with a link inside our blog post (see last year’s post at this link). Readers will have to visit every blog, fill out the Google form with the answer about each Christmas book, and everyone with all questions answered properly will be in the drawing for the big winner.

If your book is Christian fiction, about Christmas, and something you want to promote, you qualify to join!

Here’s what you need to do:

1.) Write a blog post with the clue. Talk up your Christmas book! Give some clue that can be found inside the preview of your book (they have to be able to get the clue without purchasing it).

2.) Fill out the author google form with the blog post link in it. (Don’t publish it yet- schedule it for December 7th.) You MUST have this completed by December 1st.

3.) Send me $20 via Paypal to halleethestoryteller@gmail.com. This money will be used for the grand prize. The more authors we can have participate, the bigger the prize will be.

4.) Publish your blog post on December 7th at 6am EST. Make sure you link to the next blog on the list. (Note: you will receive your “round-robin” link on December 1st, giving you plenty of time to edit your blog post to include the link.)

5.) On December 7th, start talking up the scavenger hunt on social media. Use the provided graphics (that will be provided when we know the authors, books, and prize.) The hunt will end at 11:59 pm EST on December 13th. I will draw the grand prize winner the morning of the 14th.

Here is what my blog post is going to look like, along with how I asked my question and the suggested wording to put at the end of your blog post:

TITLE: Christmas Scavenger Hunt Round-Robin: Christmas Star Sapphire

Merry Christmas! Welcome to the first blog in this Christmas Round-Robin! At each author’s blog post, you will find a question that can be answered by checking out the free Amazon preview of their book. Provide the answer at this Google Form. Note: You must answer the questions for every author in the round -robin to be considered to win [this fabulous prize]. At the end of my post is a link to the next blog, who will provide a link to the next blog, etc., to the very end.

I’m thrilled to get the chance to tell you about my book Christmas Star Sapphire. This book is in the second generation of my fan-favorite series, The Jewel Series, but you can read it without having read the rest of the series.

Joe Westcott is a Cru minister at an Alabama university where Madeline Viscolli is getting her Masters degree. Joe has a personal rule against dating any student, for any reason, but his attraction to Madeline makes him start to reconsider that hard and fast rule. Until he discovers that Madeline is not just a Viscolli, but is one of THE Viscollis.

Long ago, Joe made a decision to serve God well removed from his family’s life of wealth and luxury. Madeline represents everything he left behind.

It was a joy to write this book and delve into these characters. To date, it is one of my favorite books I’ve written. My husband’s cousin is a Cru minister, and it is our pleasure to donate a portion of every sale to Cru ministries. As parents of a college senior, we know how vital campus ministeries are to the students that attend colleges all over the world.

Let’s begin this scavenger hunt! Go to the book on Amazon at this link. What is the name of Joe’s boat?  When you have the answer, fill out this form and head on to the next blog!

Thank you so much for visiting! The next author on the tour is Author name, who is telling us all about her Christmas book Title of Book. You can find it at this link. (add link) Remember that the round-robin will end on December 13th at 11:59 PM EST!
