Looking for a picture I took one time for my Hallee the Homemaker blog, I stumbled across this article: Raising a Healthy Family from Scratch on Care.com
So many memories came to me as I read this article. One thing that’s super cool is that we still parent exactly the same and live that lifestyle. It wasn’t just a passing fad or something that we gave up on because it’s more work.
In a way, I miss my daily homemaking blogging. I absolutely don’t have the creative energy to do it again because I pour everything into my fiction writing, but it was an incredible journey for me. I probably have blog ideas four or five times a week still – residual from years coming up with daily blog posts.
I learned so much about myself, like deep introspective kind of learning, during that time. And, in 2009 and forward, the worldwide web was glutted with homemaking blogs. I’m so proud of how successful Hallee the Homemaker became. God certainly took my willingness to serve and ran with it.

Isn’t it wonderful to see where we are and where we came from, and still love both. It shows maturity and contentment in the eternal NOW.
