30 Days of Bloggity Bloggness: Day 19

Day 19: Something you miss

I miss reading.

I really love to read and read for years and years.  I loved reading romances and mysteries and true crime novels.

When I started writing, I no longer had the time or the patience to read.  Now, the only time I get to read is when we’re traveling and we’re reading a book out loud to each other.

I have bookshelves FULL of books and no time to read them.

I realize, though, that this is just a season of my life.  When my children are older, I’ll have more time to read and still have the time to write.

I’d love to learn to speed read so that I could at least consume books.

  1. I miss it, too!!!!!!!!!!! I’m filling in the void right now with audiobooks. I have more time to listen than to read, but it’s not quite the same. 🙂

    1. I discovered audio books driving by myself from Florida to West Virgina — 14 hours. I was surprised at how much I loved them.

Now I try to always get an audio book when traveling. Cracker Barrel is awesome because they have that way you can buy an audio book and return it at any other Cracker Barrel in the country. They usually have a pretty good selection – even kids’ books.
