Name That Fictional Town Contest!

Texas Diamond 1 smallI hate coming up with names. I’m much happier when other people do it for me. So — here’s the contest:

I need a fictional, oil-booming town outside of Dallas, Texas. This will be where my Virtues and Valor pilot, Helen Mulberry, codenamed Faith, is from.

If I pick your name, you get the entire Virtues and Valor series in ebook form. I’ve only released books 1-5, but you’ll get 6 and 7 as they release in February and March.

And…go!

How about Rutherford, TX? After Joseph Rutherford, one of the Alamo defenders (who was from KY, btw…) I’ve googled and there doesn’t seem to be an actual town of that name…

  1. Black Water Texas…because when the first settlers drilled for water, they got oil, hence the name Black Water.

Stylite, Texas……stylite is synonymous for solitaire, which is synonymous for diamond, for Helen’s plane!

The name of the fictional town surely must be STAR RIDGE, TX. I enjoy your writing.

Lamar, Texas, named after Hedy Lamar. Not only was she an actress, but she also helped create the ‘Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum’ which prevented American military messages from being intercepted by the enemy.
